Spotlight on University of the Witwatersrand
Describes the development of an accredited SBCC certificate program in South Africa by Soul City Institute and the University of Witwatersrand, listing factors for success, short SBCC courses and the master’s program in public health, results, and outlining the community of practice, including countries from which students have come.

Establishing SBCC Courses
Depicts the seven-step process of establishing SBCC courses in five universities, including choosing institutions (in South Africa, Albania, Guatemala, and Nigeria); training faculty, sharing resources, and establishing communities of practice; and evaluating short, online, and master’s level courses that participants to design, implement, and evaluate theory- and research-driven SBCC programs.

Presents the 10-step process developed by C-Change Namibia to build the SBCC capacity of civil society organizations and governmental bodies, the 2008 baseline assessment that informed the work, details on trainings and coordination activities, and lessons learned.

5. Community Conversation Toolkit on HIV Prevention:
Participatory Development, Use, and Evaluation
Lists the contents of C-Change’s Community Conversation Toolkit, the development process and its adaptation in seven countries and 10 local languages, results, lessons learned, next steps, and programmatic recommendations from partners.
6. Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision:
Communication Toolkit Development in Kenya
Describes the 16-item toolkit developed to create demand for voluntary medical male circumcision in Kenya in several languages, including methods, types of materials, audiences, results, and lesson learned.
7. SBCC Materials for HIV Prevention with Men Who Have Sex with Men and Sex Workers
Shows six steps C-Change took in Namibia and Jamaica to develop materials on HIV prevention and related topics for sex workers and men who have sex with men, including flip charts, leaflets, a comic book, card game, fact sheets, advocacy posters, a discussion cube, a cell phone ring tone and screen saver, wrist bands, and counseling cards.
8. Community Voices:
Adapting the Community Conversation Toolkit
Describes the adaptation process for this C-Change toolkit in southern Africa with Soul City Institute, Phela, Desert Soul, Pakachere, ZCCP and Action, including concept testing, pre-testing, and examples of audience feedback.
